Pregnancy testing kits (urine) are one step diagnostic tests for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine, as an aid for the early detection of pregnancy. They are in vitro diagnostic tests.
To screen for suspected pregnancy.
Pregnancy tests are 99% accurate at screening for pregnancy from the day after a missed period. If testing early, always use first morning urine, and repeat in 48 hours if unsure.
Only use as directed. Always follow the instructions. If in doubt see your GP for a blood test.
